SANPC completes employee transfer in first phase of its operationalisation
State-owned South African National Petroleum Company (SANPC) has completed the transfer of 402 employees from Central Energy Fund (CEF) subsidiary companies iGas, PetroSA and the Strategic Fuel Fund (SFF).
This is the first phase of employee transfers and marks a significant step towards the operationalisation of the SANPC as a South African energy champion, the company says.
The SANPC was formed through the merger of the three CEF subsidiaries.
“As we consolidate our internal resources and expertise to power South Africa’s energy future and support key government priorities, the SANPC will be at the centre of the country’s reindustrialisation drive,” says SANPC CE Godfrey Moagi.
“Through planned infrastructure programmes, the SANPC is geared to create meaningful jobs and future opportunities for all South Africans,” he adds.
